A speaker describes praying for a young boy in Hawthorne, California whose vision was permanently damaged after drinking a drugged beverage at a party. The boy's eyesight was restored during the prayer, even though he wasn't a Christian. The speaker argues God healed him out of pure compassion, not because of any covenant or faith.

I'll never forget when I was praying in Hawthorne, California, during a healing service for a young boy who had experienced vision damage. See, what happened was he snuck out of his home, went to a party that he should not have been attending, and his so-called friends put something in his drink and it permanently damaged his eyesight. His eyesight was very blurry. His mother brought him up. And here I am praying for someone Who technically is not a born-again believer, as far as I knew, what was communicated to me, he was not a born-again believer, yet God healed him. I watched as the Lord healed that boy, restored his sight to where he could read my small print Bible. Healing occurred because of the Lord's compassion. The Lord Jesus healed him, not because of covenant, but because of compassion. I've seen unbelievers healed. Now, they may not be covered under the covenant yet, But because of the Lord's compassion, he reaches out, sees their pain, and brings forth their miracle.
