Jesus said believers would do the works he did and greater ones. The Holy Spirit that empowered him was sent to us after his ascension. The speaker warns against softening Jesus' words and calls listeners to act boldly in faith, trusting the Spirit is not limited by human weakness.
Jesus said something shocking in John 14:12. Anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done and even greater works. Think about that. The sick were healed under his hands. The dead rose at his command. Demons trembled at his word. And yet he says, you'll do the same? How? He gave the answer. Because I go to the Father. And when he ascended, he sent the Spirit. That means the Spirit of Jesus now dwells in you. The same Spirit who worked through Christ is the Spirit who works through you. Don't twist his words to make them safer. Don't water them down to suit your comfort level. Jesus meant what he said. Greater works are possible because his Spirit lives in you. The Spirit of God isn't limited by your weakness. He's unleashed through your faith.
