Praying in tongues directly strengthens your spirit, which then amplifies everything else: greater resistance to sin, boldness in evangelism, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's voice, more effective spiritual gifts, deeper Scripture revelation, and more vivid dreams and visions.
When you pray in tongues, you are strengthened in the Spirit. And when you are strengthened in the Spirit, every spiritual attribute is amplified. So of course, we can conclude that your ability to resist sin is strengthened. Your boldness in your evangelism, your sensitivity to the voice of the Holy Spirit, the use of the spiritual gifts amplified, revelation of the Word intensified, dreams and visions, spiritual encounters, spiritual awareness increase, increase, increase. When you pray in tongues, you are strengthened personally, spiritually, and therefore everything that is strengthened when your spirit is strengthened is intensified.
