The Holy Spirit reveals God's character and will through Scripture, not just intellect. Reading the Bible as a relationship with God, not a study, lets you recognize His movements and understand His nature beyond what He does.
The Holy Spirit gives you revelation of the Word of God. He gives you revelation of the ways of God, and He gives you revelation of the will of God. He gives you revelation of the Word. As you're reading the Scriptures, you can sit with the author. Remember, it was the Holy Spirit who inspired every word in Scripture. So as you read, you don't have to read it alone. You can say, help me, Holy Spirit, to understand and receive from the Word of God. The Holy Spirit gives revelation of the nature of God, not just what He does, not just what He has said, but He takes those truths, builds upon them to help you understand how He is. Remember, if you look at someone's actions only, then you're going to constantly judge them by those actions, in that if they ever do anything new, you're gonna fold your arms and say, well, I don't know if I've ever seen them do that before. I've never seen God do that. But if you know His nature, then when God does something a little different, you can say, this looks like something Some people are just stuck on just his actions. They don't know his nature. That's why you need the help of the Holy Spirit. It's not just cerebral. It's not just intellectual. This is spiritual. It's an actual relationship with an actual living God. That's why you need the help of the Holy Spirit.
