In this sermon, the speaker draws on Romans 8:11 to assert that the same Holy Spirit who raised Christ from the dead now dwells within every believer. He highlights a series of biblical figures—Solomon, David, Joseph, Moses, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the early disciples—to illustrate the Spirit’s historic work of granting wisdom, prophecy, miracles, and empowerment. The speaker then connects this legacy to the present, describing how the Holy Spirit continues to empower martyrs worldwide who shed their blood for the gospel. The central claim is that the Holy Spirit is fully present, lacking nothing, and actively at work in the lives of believers today.

Chapters

Romans chapter 8, verse 11 tells us, the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in you. He's the same Holy Spirit who gave wisdom to Solomon and beautiful psalms to David. He's the same Holy Spirit who gave dreams to Joseph, who was with Moses, and who was like fire in the bones of Jeremiah, who caused Ezekiel to see with such spiritual clarity that he captured visions of heavenly beings. He's the same Holy Spirit who rested upon the disciples as they cleansed the leper and cast out devils and raised the dead, who came like wind and fire in the book of Acts chapter 2, moving upon the early church and causing the birth of what we have today, who strengthens martyrs around the world today as they spill their blood for the gospel. And that same Holy Spirit, nothing lacking, nothing missing, dwells in you.
