Chapters
There are some believers that are of the belief that unless you're miserable, you're not in the will of God. That unless God is always telling you to do something difficult, that it can't possibly be the voice of God. I'll tell you this, when the Lord told me that Jessica would be my wife, that wasn't difficult to hear. I was very excited to hear that I had found my wife. I remember hearing her talk. We were having a long conversation, and there was this confirmation deep within where the Holy Spirit says, this is the one. And I'm telling you, it was joy overflowing. Because sometimes the Lord will tell you things that you appreciate. Sometimes the Lord will tell you He'll tell you things that you actually enjoy. Listen, we have to be broken from this legalistic mindset that God will only tell us things that make us miserable, or God will only tell us things that challenge us, or God will only tell us things that cause us to give up the things that we enjoy that were blessings from him. Sometimes he will, don't get me wrong. But on this specific point, we have to understand this, that sometimes when God speaks, you will welcome the instruction. And just because it's not mean or harsh or challenging or sacrificial doesn't mean that it's not God.
