If You’re Seeing These Signs, God is Trying to Speak to You

In this sermon‑style teaching, David Diga Hernandez explains that the Holy Spirit uses four primary methods to capture a believer’s attention when they are ignoring or resisting God’s prompting. He first outlines consistency, showing that a divine instruction will repeat itself in the believer’s spirit and will not change because the Holy Spirit does not bargain or alter His word. He then describes confirmation, where God uses other people—friends, family, strangers, or prophetic messages—to affirm the same instruction, citing Acts 10 (Cornelius and Peter) as a biblical illustration. The third sign is conviction, a heavy internal pressure that brings awareness of sin, God’s righteousness, and impending judgment (John 16:8; James 4:17; Psalm 32), distinguishing it from condemnation. Finally, if the believer continues to ignore the Spirit, God may resort to chaos—disruptive circumstances or divine chastisement—to break stubbornness, referencing Acts 27 (Paul’s shipwreck warning) and Jonah’s storm. Throughout, Hernandez warns against bargaining with God, religious “OCD,” and mistaking the devil’s accusations for the Spirit’s conviction, urging listeners to surrender, seek humility, and respond promptly to the Spirit’s leading.
