If You're Seeing These Signs, You Need Deep Deliverance

Three signs you need spiritual deliverance: demonic harassment causing anxiety and nightmares, habitual sin you blame on demons instead of discipline, and confusion about your identity in Christ. Freedom requires prayer, repentance, and deliberately replacing old thought patterns with Scripture.

If you're seeing these signs, you need deliverance. Let's take a look at the signs, and then I wanna show you how to be finally, completely, and permanently free. Number 1, demonic harassment. This is the harassment of the mind. You're not at peace. I'm gonna show you an example of this right here. Mark chapter 5, beginning at verse number 2. When Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil spirit came out from the tombs to meet him. The man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain. Whenever he was put into chains and shackles, as he often was, was, he snapped the chains from his wrist and smashed the shackles. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Day and night he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones. Here we see a man who's harassed in the mind. He's not at peace. He's dealing with some serious issues internally. Now, one does not have to be demon-possessed in order to be demon-harassed. That means that Christians can be harassed in the mind. That doesn't mean a demon dwells in them, but a demon from the outside can attack them. So consider this, are you dealing with things like anxiety? I know I myself battled this heavily for years to the point where I was having panic attacks on a regular basis. In fact, the panic attacks were so frequent that I had to plan my day around them. I couldn't go too far from my house. I had to make sure I wasn't driving at certain times of the day when I knew the panic attacks were more common. It would disrupt day dates with my wife, and it would disrupt time with family and friends where I'd have to retreat. It was a horrendous way of living. And at that point, I realized I need deliverance. Why? Because my mind was not at peace, because there was a constant swirl of activity that was negative in my mind. Maybe you're dealing with things not necessarily like anxiety, but paranoia. Now, anxiety is this fretting about the future or what could go wrong, or maybe something is wrong. Paranoia is more of a sense of foreboding where there's just this franticness to your behavior. You think that everyone's out to get you. You don't trust anyone. Anytime somebody wrongs you, that's it, you've marked them. And now there's someone you have to put at a distance. Or anytime that something goes wrong, you think, well, maybe that's God, he's punishing me. Or maybe there's a demon there. And there's just paranoia. And you're constantly in this swirl of angst. Things like OCD. where you have to obsess over things compulsively, where you can't let go of certain issues or certain patterns that aren't so, and your mind is in this constant haze and this constant movement. Guilt and shame. You're battling with guilt and shame from past sins. Maybe you've repented of these things. Maybe you've said to the Lord, Lord, I'm turning from it. You got it right. The Lord forgave you. If we confess our sins to him, he's faithful and just to forgive us. But now you're still battling with that shame. And you carry it with you and you wear it like it's still a part of your identity. That guilt and shame is not of God. It's part of demonic harassment. In fact, that's the accuser coming against you, speaking against what the advocate is declaring. God says forgiven, the enemy says shamed. God says new creation, the enemy says evil, wicked, despicable. And that right there is the battle. In the mind, there's this back and forth. So maybe it's not even something I listed here. Maybe you're having horrific demonic nightmares. Maybe you're battling with seeing things and hearing things, and you're just crying out for peace. And you feel like you've been praying for this for a long time, and you've been asking the Lord to set you free, and you just can't quite put your finger on why it's still continuing. You need deliverance. Now, Part of overcoming demonic harassment, we're gonna go over how to be free in just a moment, is filling your mind with godly truth. So I wanna encourage you to take this step. Make sure that you leave a like on this video so that you can spread the content to more people. Additionally, I want you to subscribe to this channel so that you can begin to fill your mind with the word of God. And don't forget to click the notification bell when you do so. Number 2, habitual sin. Now, let me make this clear. Not every deliverance involves demonic activity. Sometimes you need deliverance from demonic activity, such as in the case of demonic harassment. But also there are other times when you're gonna need deliverance from self. Some of you don't need deliverance from a demon, you need discipline. You need self-control. Why? Because in the case of habitual sin, we often try to blame demonic powers. Listen, Demons are like salesmen and sin is like a product. They can showcase the product, they can beckon you and say, hey, why don't you go ahead and try this? They can lie to you about how there's gonna be no consequences for the wrongdoing, but you sin because you choose to sin. I'm not saying this to shame you. I'm saying this to give you a wake-up call so that you stop blaming demons. It's not a demon problem when you're dealing with habitual sin. Now, The temptation aspect could be demonic, absolutely. And you have to rebuke that and pray through that. But then there's another aspect to this that if you don't take care of, you're never gonna break that cycle of habitual sin. You're never gonna experience deliverance. You can cast out devils, but you can't cast you out of you. If you wake up, you're there. You go to bed, you're there. No matter where you go, you're gonna be with you. So it's time to deal with the flesh. Romans chapter 8. Verses 5 through 6 say this, those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your minds leads to death, but letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. Notice the language here, letting your sinful nature. It doesn't say that the sinful nature forces itself upon you. It doesn't say here, so demons forcing the sinful nature upon you. It says, you letting your sinful nature control you. For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now, if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is in my flesh. And here he's not talking about the physical body, he's talking about that sinful religious aspect of the nature. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. And there's that battle, that tension, that struggle with self. Maybe you're battling with lust. Maybe you're battling with pornography. Maybe you're committing adultery in your heart by looking at things that you shouldn't. Maybe you battle with anger. And you just feel the rage well up within you. And I know it's easy to say, well, that's gotta be a spirit of anger, or that's a demon of anger. And again, I'm not saying demons aren't involved in this. Of course they're gonna lie to you, they're gonna harass you, they're gonna tempt you. They may even attempt to agitate you. But if you lose control of your temper, you're the one who lost control. And I love you enough to tell you the truth. And so until you begin to address the actual problem, you're not going to be free. So, so far we've seen, Demonic harassment, that is your mind in some way is being disturbed. Habitual sin, you continue to repeat patterns of sinful behavior. You give into those cravings, and no matter how many times you tell yourself, I'm done with it, I'm not doing that again, I don't ever wanna go back there, you do it again and again and again. That's another sign you need deliverance. The 3rd sign that you need deliverance is a lack of identity. So demonic harassment is deliverance from demonic attack. That's what you need. Habitual sin means you need deliverance from self, which by the way is your greatest enemy. And number 3, lack of identity means you need deliverance from deception. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says this, therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things become new. That means you're no longer living according to the pattern of your old ways. That means when God looks at you, he doesn't see the sinful version of you. You wanna know who the real you is? The real you is the you of the Spirit. The real you is the one who's filled with joy and peace and righteousness and boldness and confidence in who they are in Christ. That other aspect, that other side, that's the old nature. That's the carnal ways. That's the past. That's what was. Who you are now is in Christ. Amen. You may say, well, I don't feel like I deserve it, or I don't feel like I'm completely there. And the reality is none of us are. But that's the thing, is that grace makes up for the gaps. Grace is the glue that holds together the shattered vessel. Grace is what makes up for your mistakes, because when you've placed your faith in the Lord Jesus, you are perfected not by your performance, but by Christ's sacrifice. And as long as you keep faith in that, that is what you'll believe. That is where you'll find your confidence. So many believers view God as angry. He's mad at me, he doesn't like me, he has plans to harm me, he doesn't wanna bless me. Or maybe you imagine that instead of loving you, embracing you, and desiring to be in your presence, maybe you imagine that God is fed up with you, or God is on his last nerve with you, or God is just kind of reluctantly allowing you into his presence. Okay, fine. You can come near my presence, but that's not it at all. You know why you think that? Because you're thinking according to an old identity. Maybe you view yourself as worthless, that you have nothing good to offer, that you have nothing to bring to the table. And that's just not the reality. And here's the sad part, is there are many parts of Christianity, religious parts of Christianity, legalistic parts of Christianity. There are many different philosophies in Christianity that are based on legalism and religion, that celebrate self-hatred. In other words, if you just come before the Lord or you come before fellow believers, you go, oh, I'm just a worm, I'm wretched. Oh, I'm just deceitfully wicked in my heart. And I get that the scripture references the heart in this way, but that's talking about the old nature, not the new creation. You are the new creation. So you have to stop seeing yourself as worthless, or you view yourself as the struggling one. Oh, Bad things always happen to me. Nothing's ever gonna work. This is just the way it's always been for me and my family. And it's almost like you've become addicted to struggle. You become addicted to drama. You know, that's a real thing, by the way, because your body becomes addicted to the chemicals that are released from the drama. And so now you're craving conflict, you're craving drama. And so when you get any amount of breakthrough in your life whatsoever, you become uncomfortable, agitated, maybe even a little bit— Sad. Worried, well, wait a minute, something's supposed to be going wrong here. Or maybe you're bracing for what you think is ultimately going to go wrong. And let me let you in on something here. People who struggle in this way with lack of identity, when you present to them the truth about how to be set free, they say things like, well, no, that just doesn't work for me. As if they're somehow special, God can do it for everybody else but them. In other words, they're saying God's word doesn't work for me. Or I'm a special case where the power of the Holy Spirit isn't all that's required in order to break me free. Well, that's just arrogance. And I'm sorry to say it, but again, I want you to be free. So we gotta break these mindsets. That's a lack of identity. And we can't accept that the real us, that the real version of self is holy, is of God. That right there is a telltale sign you don't know your identity. You may even be a little uncomfortable with what I'm saying right now. That discomfort, when I tell you that you are righteous, you are holy, you are complete, you are one with God, when I tell you that, that discomfort is proof that you don't know who you are, because you become a new creation because of what Christ has done. So how to be free? First of all, let's take a look at how bondage actually works. Spiritual bondage begins in deception. Jesus said, the truth will set you free. That means if you're still bound, There's a truth you've not come to know. So the truth liberates. Now it begins in deception. You believe a lie, even if it's just the subtle one. And by the way, those are the best ones. The enemy's not gonna tell you outright that God hates you, but the enemy may tell you something like, well, right now you're on thin ice with God because, you know, just something that you're struggling with. And so you internalize that and it becomes a part of your whole framework for thinking. So it begins with deception. Watch this now. We start with deception, okay? You've believed the lie. That deception now begins to affect the way you think. And the way you think affects the way you feel and act. And the way you feel and act ultimately becomes habitual. That habit is what we refer to as the bondage. And that becomes the cycle, of course. So if you want to address this, you got to begin to address it at its root. Now remember, to any spiritual bondage, there are gonna be 2 components. There will be the spiritual and the natural component. The spiritual component, that's demonic harassment, the lies of the enemy, the accusations of the enemy, the enemy trying to tempt you, the enemy trying to deceive you. That right there is the demonic aspect. But then there's the natural side, and this is the practical. This is discipline. This is spiritual disciplines being implemented. Now, some believers struggle with either or. There are some Christians who, if I give you practical means of being delivered, You say, oh no, no, no, no, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, it's all demonic. And that's partially true because the scripture says it. And then there are some who, if I mention demons, they're gonna say, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, I don't believe in all that. I believe demons are real, but I don't think they're as involved as you say they are. It's not either or, it's both and. It's natural and spiritual. You gotta address both issues. So here's how you do it. And don't— here's where the temptation is gonna be. As I give you these, the enemy's gonna already be lying to you. And you're gonna be saying, I already tried that. That doesn't work for me. Well, I've heard this before. Okay, you've heard it before, but there's a difference between hearing it and applying it. And there's a difference between applying it for a little bit and then applying it faithfully. So here are the keys. Number 1 is prayer. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, for the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Interesting verse because Psalm 139:7 tells us that the Holy Spirit Is everywhere. So if the Holy Spirit is everywhere, shouldn't there be freedom everywhere? Well, this is talking about the influence of the Holy Spirit. Prayer invites the influence of the Holy Spirit. Fast and pray and ask for others to pray for you. And listen to me now, please receive this. This will break the demonic power. Absolutely, 100%. Now I can already hear it. Some might be saying, well, I already tried it and it didn't break the demonic power for me. Well, here's the reality. Jesus gave us the reason why some demons don't go. And he talks about this lack of faith. And then he talks about the solution for getting rid of these types of strongholds. And he tells us to fast and pray. So that means that Jesus already gave us the remedy. He already gave us the fix. So we're not gonna add to that. So pray, and if prayer alone does not work, then fast and pray. Amen. And if after fasting and pray there's praying there's still a struggle, that means that whatever's left over isn't demonic; it's of the flesh. Now again, this is going to be hard to accept because we want to keep battling in that way. But think about it: Do you really think it was God's intention for people to battle for months and years and decades with the same demonic struggle? As if some demon is so powerful that no matter how much of the Holy Spirit's power gets thrown at it. it just can't break that demonic power? Well, this again goes in part back to people who are addicted to this. They kind of like, and I'm just gonna be honest, they kind of like the attention that comes from being the struggling one. And so I'm not saying that we shouldn't have compassion on those who struggle, of course we should. But I'm saying that you as the one who struggles should be honest in evaluating yourself and ask yourself this question. Have I dealt with the demonic through prayer? If the answer is yes, if you prayed, you rebuked demonic powers, rebuked the accusation, the harassment, and so forth, then it's time to move on to dealing with the flesh. That's just biblical. If the scripture teaches that prayer and fasting removes demonic influence, then therefore whatever remains after you fast and pray cannot be demonic. It has to be of the flesh. So number 2 is repentance. But if we confess our sins, To him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. That's 1 John 1:9. In Acts 3:19-20, we read, now repent of your sins and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord. When you submit to God, you can resist the devil. There's a problem that comes when you try to resist the devil without first submitting to God. Repentance is powerful. Repentance carries a lot of weight, but repentance is more than just not doing the thing you know you shouldn't do. Repentance is a change in mind where you come into agreement with God and you say, God, I agree with you about that sin. It's wrong, it needs to go, it needs to go now, it needs to go in all forms, and it needs to go from now on. In other words, I'm not gonna give myself a break because sometimes we lie to ourselves and we say, I'm done with this sin, and our flesh whispers, for now. For now. For now, meaning what we're really saying is, I'm done with this sin until the craving becomes so strong as to where I wanna do it again. And so we have to come into repentance. So prayer and fasting, and I'm talking about a lifestyle of prayer here, inviting the influence of the Holy Spirit daily. This is important because if you're not doing that, it's not gonna work. I'm telling you, it's not gonna work. You have to do it consistently. And then you have to live a lifestyle of repentance, change your mind, About the sin and think about that sin according to what God thinks, and then begin to act on that new mindset and turn from it. Number 3, renew the mind. And this is gonna be very, very key. I want you to imagine explorers coming onto a new land for the first time. They begin to slash through the vines and the grass and the shrub as they make new pathways forward. Now, the people who come along, those explorers, are going to take the path of least resistance. They're not going to go through the shrubs and the trees and the bushes and the unkempt area. What they're going to do is they're going to follow behind those who went before them, slashing their way through that wilderness. And so as they begin to follow them, more people will come along behind them. And before you know it, an entire path has been cleared. Well, what route do you think people are gonna take from then on? That path. This forest is your mind. This wilderness is your mind. That path is a thought pattern. Those explorers are thoughts. This is why it's so difficult to begin to break from old ways of thinking, which by the way, is the key to freedom. 'Cause remember I told you, it's all rooted in deception. Because when you begin to take the new path, it's a lot more difficult than just going down the path that's been there all along. Why? Because now you have to cut through new territory. Now you have to deal with shrubs and sticks and leaves in your face and pushing through that wilderness. Why? Because you're no longer taking that path that has already been cleared. Your mind has been thinking a certain way for a long time. So it's a lot easier to just continue down those paths. What God is calling you to do is renew your mind, take a different route. As hard as that is, you can say things like, well, I know I'm the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I know I'm accepted. And it's gonna be easier to think back to the old ways. No, you're in bondage. No, the enemy has you. No, you're the one who's always attacked. No, you're the one who always struggles. Nothing ever goes right for you. And the enemy's gonna try to pull you back into that old way of thinking, but you gotta continue to slash forward and say, no. This may be a difficult new route, but if I could just clear the path, again and again and again. Eventually, this thought trail will become my new pattern of thinking. So stop going down the old path, as difficult as that may be. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, we use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture the rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. Simply put, a stronghold is a mindset. That mindset must be torn down. Romans 12:2 says, don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Look at the scripture tells us clearly here how God changes you. Look, look, look, but let God transform you into a new person. How? By changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. So we as believers have to renew the mind. So you've prayed, you fasted, the bondage was broken, the demonic aspect has been dealt with, but then you got to deal with the flesh. And you deal with the flesh through repenting. Once you've repented, how do you maintain that freedom? You gotta renew the mind. So prayer breaks it immediately. Repentance breaks it in a deep way. And renewing the mind is what breaks it permanently. So immediately, deeply, permanently. Prayer, repentance, renewing the mind. You wanna be permanently free? Stop going back to the victim mindset. Stop accepting beliefs about yourself, about your sin, about others, about the world, about God, that ultimately bring you back into that place of bondage. It's time to be set free by the truth, for when you know the truth, that truth shall set you free. Father, I pray that you would help your people to apply these things. And Holy Spirit, I ask that you cause this to not just be knowledge, but revelation by the Spirit. First and foremost, Lord, we rebuke Every demonic harassment in the name of Jesus, the demonic power is broken now. Now, Lord, I pray that you help them to walk in your spirit so that they will not walk according to the carnal way. Help them, Lord Jesus, to renew the mind, to receive your word, to receive the truth, and to think according to that truth. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. I want you to say it because you believe it. Say amen. Listen, I need your help. I need your help. There's a world that needs Jesus. Souls are hanging in the balance.
