In this brief devotional teaching, the speaker urges listeners who want to hear God’s voice to first commit seriously to the Word of Scripture. He explains that the Holy Spirit works by bringing to remembrance and expanding upon the teachings of Jesus that are recorded in the Bible. The Spirit’s guidance is therefore rooted in the Word, not in fleeting emotions, popular opinions, or hype. By grounding oneself in Scripture, believers position themselves to receive clear, biblical direction from the Holy Spirit for everyday life.
