In this brief teaching, the speaker emphasizes that the gift and office of prophecy are intended for serving others rather than elevating the prophet’s personal status. Prophecy is not a tool for gaining influence, admiration, or spiritual prestige; its purpose is to help and guide people, keeping the focus away from the prophet and toward the needs of the community.

We must remember prophecy is not meant to glorify a man or a woman. Prophecy is not given to someone so they can grow their influence. Prophecy, the gift of prophecy or the office of the prophet, is not given to someone so that they can get people looking at them and saying, oh, look how spiritual, look how wonderful. It's not to point to self, it's to help people. Not about self, it's about serving.
