The Holy Spirit greets you in prayer with love, not judgment. Instead of condemning missed prayers or Bible reading, the Spirit says, "I've been waiting for you all day." This devotional reframes prayer as a relationship with a loving presence, not a performance you can fail.
More than you desire to be in the presence of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit desires to be in your presence. When you go to pray, the Holy Spirit says, I've been waiting for you all day. He's not there accusing you, saying, where were you all this week? How come you missed so many days of prayer? Why haven't you read your Bible today? No, when you walk into that prayer room, he wraps his loving arms around you. His love rushes you and he welcomes you into his presence.
