Believers who have accepted Christ should surrender to the Holy Spirit within them, letting divine life overflow outward. Your speech, eyes, and actions should reflect Jesus: His love, compassion, mercy, and bold truth-telling so others encounter Him through you.
The Spirit of God dwells in you if you've received Christ as your Lord, but are you accessing that power? Are you surrendering to that inner influence? Are you experiencing that divine life? That flow of divine life begins to become stronger from the inside out, for Jesus said, out of your innermost being will flow rivers of living water. That divine essence, that divine life flows like a mighty river. So out of that union that you already have with God, you experience this Overflow of God's life, and you become more like Jesus. When people hear you speak, they can hear Jesus. When people look into your eyes, they can see the love of Jesus. When people watch your actions, they can watch Jesus in action. That compassion, that mercy, that love, that grace. That confrontational evangelism and truth-telling, all of it is an expression of that divine life that God has given to you.
