Loneliness isn't cruelty but growth. As you mature spiritually, God strips away relationships and success to break self-reliance and pull you closer to Jesus. The anxiety and noise fade. What remains is just you and Him.
Chapters
This may actually be why you feel lonely. It's not that God is being cruel and putting you in this place of isolation. It's that who you're becoming isn't meant necessarily for the noise that you're around right now. God loves you too much to leave you in mediocrity. God loves you too much to leave you to yourself. And so God will begin to remove maybe a relationship that's been distracting you. God will remove maybe a certain level of success that's cause you to become self-reliant instead of dependent upon the Holy Spirit, causes you to forget your need for God. God's not against these things. Success or relationships are things that bless us, but when those become distractions, they begin to become strained. And this helps us to refocus on the Lord, and he will help us with things like anxiety. He will help us with things like overthinking or doubt. And so God will bring you to this place of deep spiritual focus. He will cause you to be still, slow down, pay attention to where now all that's left after you've been stripped of everything else, all that's left is you and Jesus.
