We ought to love people in such a way that even the most stubborn heart begins to soften toward the things of God. Well, if God is love, then the way we love should cause even the most staunch skeptic to question his own skepticism. The way we love should even move the cynic to where they begin to ask, how can you forgive that? That's unforgivable. Or how come you don't seek revenge on them? Or how come you don't go and punish them? It would be just if you sought punishment for them. Why do you welcome the people that nobody else will welcome? Why is it that you're so kind, so compassionate? Compassionate, that love of God flowing through us. The world doesn't understand it. To love the unlovable, to forgive the unforgivable, that ought to be the experience that people have when they come into contact with you.
