The Holy Spirit wants to be involved in your parenting. He wants to be involved in your ministry. He wants to be involved in your work. He wants to be involved in your business. But when you don't pray, you don't make the time to yield. Add to your day's prayer, especially when you are busy. And it can feel so effective sometimes to put certain things on the back burner, say, well, I'll pray tonight instead of this morning. I'll read one chapter of the Bible instead of 10. The Lord will understand because my day is just so packed. And yes, the Lord does understand. Yes, he understands our weaknesses. Yes, he understands our responsibilities. And I believe that he gives us grace. But you know when you're not giving the best that you can in the situation that you're in. You know when you're putting the Lord on the back burner. You know when you're not prioritizing and centralizing prayer.
