A pastor argues that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the single most important message in human history, more central than healing, miracles, or prophecy. He calls Christians to remember that Christ's sacrifice for salvation from sin and judgment is what gives everything else its meaning.
I want everyone who claims to follow Jesus to listen to what I'm about to say. I believe every Christian needs to hear this. You might think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. I love healing, and I believe in ministering healing. I love deliverance, and I believe in ministering deliverance. I love the prophetic, spiritual gifts, and miracles. I love theology and biblical doctrine. But we must remember the most important message we have as Christians. Not only is it the most important message among Christians, but it's also the most important message ever communicated in all of human history. Of all the messages shared through songs, books, films, political speeches, and conversations, there is only one message that stands as the most important. We can't forget the message of Jesus, the Gospel. No other message is more important, and no other message has more power. Through Christ's person and sacrifice, God brought salvation from sin and judgment to those who truly believe on his Son, Jesus. Type amen if you think the Gospel is the most important message. Amen.
