A sermon arguing against the idea that God's church will shrink into a defeated remnant. Jesus promised the gates of hell will not prevail against it, and believers are called to make disciples of entire nations, not hide from the world. Stop fearing headlines and focus on winning souls.
Chapters
Lord, get me out of here. This is the mindset of many. Some imagine that in the last days, the Church of God will be beaten back into a corner and that God's people will huddle in a weakened, shrunken remnant. What did Jesus say? And I say also unto thee that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Christ is returning to a victorious church and an expanded kingdom. Not a defeated church who didn't get the job done. We were instructed to make disciples of entire nations, not just to win over a handful. Jesus said that the harvest was plentiful and that many would come. Jesus will reap the reward of his suffering. The gospel will not lose its power. The Great Commission will not fail. The church will be victorious. So let's stop worrying about the headlines and the devil's intimidation tactics. We have a kingdom to establish and souls to win. Church, let's get focused.
