True deliverance requires addressing the lies beneath spiritual bondage, not just the symptoms. The enemy uses three core lies: God doesn't forgive, God is insufficient, and God isn't in control. Identifying and rejecting these lies, then embracing biblical truth, produces permanent freedom.

Deliverance, biblically speaking, should be permanent. Here's how you can experience it. Many Christians get stuck in cycles of spiritual bondage because they aren't addressing the bondage at the root. They address the symptoms instead of the source, the results instead of the root. The enemy attacks believers primarily through lies. Once you believe a lie of the enemy, deception results. For example, guilt and shame are based on the lie that God isn't forgiving. Temptation is based on the lie that God isn't enough. Fear is based on the lie that God isn't in control. And the lies vary, but ultimately deception leads to unbiblical thought patterns. Those thought patterns lead to habits. Those habits become life cycles. Those cycles are what we call spiritual bondage. So if you're still bound, then there's a lie that somewhere deep inside you still believe. If you're still bound, there's a truth that you have not yet fully accepted. Get to the root, expose the lie, cling to the truth, and the truth will set you free.
