A sermon on Ephesians 6 explaining how each piece of God's armor protects you from spiritual attack. The devil's only real weapon is deception, so truth, faith, and righteousness are your defense. Believers win by standing in what God says about them.
Did you know that the Bible gives us everything that we need to stand against all the attacks of the enemy? Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. If we put on God's armor, there's no attack of the enemy that can actually succeed. We have the belt of truth, which is truth, the body armor of righteousness. The armor is held fast by the belt, so we live in righteousness when we live in truth. Shoes of peace, that is the declaration The truth of the Gospel. The shield of faith, that is our belief in God's truth that protects us from the lies or the fiery darts. The helmet of salvation, that is your confidence in the truth of your salvation. See 1 Thessalonians 5:8. The sword of the Spirit, that is the truth of God's Word. Everything has to do with truth. All the enemy can do to the believer is lie and deceive. Spiritual warfare is the fight to believe God's truth over the enemy's lies.
