Legalism or religion loves to disguise self-hatred as humility. It says, "I'm worthless. I'm just a worm. I don't deserve to even exist." But that is not what God says about you. The Bible says you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. It says that you are seated in heavenly places. It says that you are God's beloved. Humility is not denying what God has spoken. Humility is agreeing with God. If He calls you righteous. Believe him. If he calls you his child, receive it. Stop calling humility what God calls unbelief. True humility is saying yes to God's opinion of you.
