Let me give you some advice when it comes to the Holy Spirit. You're not going to win the debate. He is more persistent than you are stubborn. He's more loving than you are flawed. He's more faithful than you are sinful. The most miserable people on earth are Christians running from the call, because every day you have to feel the weight of his hand. You have to convince yourself that he's not speaking to you when you know full well that he is speaking to you. And so, while you might think that you can convince him or persuade him or say, Lord, if there's any other way, eventually you'll find yourself saying, nevertheless. Nevertheless, not my will, but your will be done.
