When progress collapses or old habits return, remember what God did before. Psalm 77:11 says to recall past deliverances as proof He can do it again. Your previous miracles are evidence for the next one.

It's one thing to face setbacks. It's another thing to face major setbacks after having made so much progress. There's a distinct kind of frustration that comes from having tasted victory only to find yourself starting all over again. Maybe something you built fell apart. Maybe you reached a goal and then went back to your old ways. Maybe you made a sinful mistake after having had long-term victory. Whatever it is, remind yourself of this. I've been here before, and if God did it once, God can do it again. Psalm 77:11 says, but then I recall all you have done, O Lord. I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. The God who brought you out of trouble the first time has the power to do it a second time. This won't be the last time you need a miracle. So from now on, whenever you face the difficult again, remember what God did before.
