Making decisions based on emotions like cravings, fatigue, or frustration leads to inconsistent behavior. Ground your thoughts and actions in Scripture instead, and you'll develop the consistency that fulfills God's will.
If you go only by feeling what you want, what you're craving, what you don't want, how tired you are, how frustrated you are, then you're going to always act differently depending upon how you're feeling. But when you learn to base your life on the Word, when you learn to base your actions and your thoughts and your attitudes on the Word, then there begins to be this consistency in your life. And that consistency over time ultimately amounts to the fulfillment of God's will. This is why we have to live based on the Word and not on our feelings.
