Temptation works like a salesman hiding the cost behind the pleasure. Jesus prayed for Peter not to fail, showing even the faithful get tested. Ask God for discernment to spot temptation early, courage to run from it, and a love for His presence strong enough to kill sin's appeal.
Here's something you need to be aware of: temptation doesn't announce itself; it's subtle. Like salesmen, demons pitch the pleasure of sin while hiding the cost. Jesus told Peter in Luke 22 that Satan wanted to sift him, but Jesus prayed that his faith would not fail. Now, you can pray the same for your loved ones. Ask God to give your loved ones discernment to spot temptation early, courage to run from it, and a love for His presence that makes sin lose its appeal. Especially pray for your children. Temptation targets the young with subtlety. A loved one who sees the trap will not step into it, and your prayers can reveal those traps.
