In this brief sermon excerpt, the speaker warns that the enemy (interpreted as a spiritual adversary) employs subtle, believable lies rather than overt falsehoods. Without a firm grasp of truth, believers are vulnerable to deception. The speaker emphasizes the necessity of filtering thoughts through God's Word, taking thoughts captive, and testing them against scriptural authority to avoid being misled.

Chapters

The enemy is going to be very subtle with his lies. The enemy is going to be very tricky. The enemy's not just going to blatantly tell you something that you know is false. He's going to make his lies believable. And so if we don't know the truth, then when the enemy lies to us, we have nothing to compare that lie with, and therefore we fall prey to deception. So we have to filter our thoughts through the Word, taking them captive and subjecting them to the authority of God's Word.
