In this brief sermon, the speaker asserts that the Holy Spirit will never convey a message that contradicts Scripture, citing Numbers 23:19 to emphasize God's truthfulness. He warns listeners against self‑justifying reasoning that claims God “understands” personal situations, labeling such impressions as deceptive. The speaker explains that the Spirit’s primary function is to convict before comforting, always calling believers to higher holiness rather than excusing sin. He urges anyone hearing a voice that conflicts with biblical teaching to stop listening, and points listeners to encounterthespirit.com for further resources.

Chapters

You'll never hear the Holy Spirit tell you something that contradicts Scripture. Never. If the voice you're hearing justifies compromise, it's not the Spirit of Truth. Numbers 23:19 says, God is not a man, so he doesn't lie. The Holy Spirit doesn't bend holiness to fit convenience. He doesn't excuse sin because he understands. It's not grace, that's deception. When you start convincing yourself that God understands my situation, be careful. That's your reasoning trying to sound spiritual. The real voice of God will always call you higher, never lower. His words will pierce the heart. They'll convict before they comfort, but they'll never lead you outside of his word. If the voice you're following disagrees with scripture, stop listening, because that's not the voice of the Holy Spirit. For more information on the Holy Spirit, go to encounterthespirit.com.
