You're not spiritually dry because you lack passion. You're spiritually dry because you lack dependency on the Holy Spirit. Most of us want his power, but few of us want to live in actual partnership where we surrender. Romans 8:11 says, the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Think about this. Jesus trusted the Holy Spirit to raise him from the grave. So why can't we trust him with our day-to-day? We start ministries without him. We make decisions without him. We plan our entire days without even checking in. No wonder so many Christians feel drained and disconnected, because when you stop depending on the Holy Spirit, you're left to depend on you. You can go further in one day with the Holy Spirit's help than in a lifetime without it.
