The Holy Spirit who empowered creation, inspired prophets, and raised the early church is the same Spirit living in you now. You don't need more of Him. The question is whether you'll let Him have more of you.
Well, the same Holy Spirit who hovered above the face of the deep when God spoke creation into existence, the same Holy Spirit who empowered the craftsmen in the tabernacle to create the various items, the same Holy Spirit who gave wisdom to Solomon, psalms to David, prophetic oracles to the prophets of old, the same Holy Spirit who descended upon Jesus like a dove and empowered the early church, the same Holy Spirit who gave the martyrs courage in the face of persecution, he dwells in you. Nothing lacking. Not a new convert Holy Spirit, not a portion of the Holy Spirit, not a baby Holy Spirit. So it's not a matter of me getting more of the Holy Spirit, it's a matter of the Holy Spirit getting more of me.
