True joy comes from the Holy Spirit, not circumstances. While worldly happiness fades when conditions change, the Holy Spirit's joy is eternal and rooted in God's presence. This inner witness persists through hardship.
You can lose your job, get bad news, face a hardship, watch things fall apart, and still have supernatural joy. How? Because joy from the Holy Spirit isn't based on circumstances. It's based on source. When God made plants, He spoke to the earth. When God made fish, He spoke to the sea. But when He made you, He spoke to Himself. That means your source is divine. The world can feel joy when things are good, but when those things fade, then so does their happiness. But your joy, it's eternal, unshakable. Jesus said the Holy Spirit abides with you forever. That means his joy flows in every season, whether good or bad. So no, you're not losing it. You're not broken. You're learning how to tap into a joy that lasts. Real joy isn't hype. It's not a fake smile. It's that inner witness, the inner knowing, God's with me, and that's enough.
