Jeremiah Tipton teaches that James 1:25 exposes Satan's core weakness: when you submit to God, you gain divine authority that makes the devil flee instantly. Demons cannot operate in the depths of glory the Holy Spirit provides within believers, turning spiritual warfare into a daily victory.
This one Bible verse exposes how powerless the enemy is against believers, and most Christians just gloss over this truth. Once you realize and accept this truth, spiritual warfare becomes simplified, your authority is realized, and spiritual victory becomes your lifestyle. I'll read the verse and then explain why it's so effective. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee. Make no mistake: the enemy and his demons attack Christians, and if you're not submitted to God, those attacks again. You become more effective. But the enemy loses all power when you live a life submitted to God. Submission to God gives you the ability to resist the attacks of the enemy. And the moment you resist the enemy, he doesn't fight, he flees. Bottom line, demons cannot swim in the depths of glory. The Spirit in you is far more powerful than any spirit that might try to come against you. To learn more about the Holy Spirit, get Holy Spirit: God Within You at encounterthespirit.com.
