In this sermon‑style address delivered to a congregation, the speaker (identified as Jeremiah Tipton) frames the September 10, 2025 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk as a demonic, spiritual event rather than merely a political headline. He describes Kirk as a martyr and a fellow believer whose death grieves the Holy Spirit within the church. The speaker urges listeners to process fear, anger, and confusion by taking them to the cross, emphasizing the need for discerning, level‑headed biblical foundations. He warns against pressure to remain silent or to speak on others’ timelines, condemning emotionally driven or ego‑based preaching. The sermon moves into an extended prayer for Kirk’s wife Erica, their two children, the broader church, and the nation, asking for comfort, unity, and a profound spiritual awakening. The address concludes with a call for bold, Spirit‑led action, rejecting fear and urging believers to be empowered by love, power, and a sound mind.

Just this past Wednesday, September 10th, we witnessed collectively something horrific. And this was the assassination of conservative husband, father, fellow believer Charlie Kirk. And I want to make it clear that not only did we witness evil, what we witnessed was demonic. And as I began to process what I witnessed, I was here at the ministry headquarters just working on various ministry projects with my team when I received the text. And I opened the text and I did not expect to see what I saw. And it was just shocking, sickening, horrific. And like you, I was moved, affected. And you may be wondering, Why this seems so different than just another headline, just another developing story. You could feel it within the soul. And this was heavy. This was burdensome. For many, this was confusing and frightening. And I want to add some perspective as to why I believe many felt it in the way that they did. Because not only did you see a political assassination, There was spiritual significance to what took place. You witnessed the martyring of a brother in Christ, and the Holy Spirit in you grieved because the Holy Spirit in you recognized the Holy Spirit in Charlie. And so as we acknowledge what happened, of course, in a moment we're also going to pray for Erica and her 2 children and the church as a whole and the nation as a whole. It's important that we remember always that we can look unto Jesus because ultimately our trust is in him. Your fear, take it to the cross. Anger, take it to the cross. Your confusion, Questions? Take those to the cross. The hour calls for discerning minds and discerning hearts. The hour calls for level-headed biblical foundation. Be careful. There are those who will pressure you into silence, telling you to be quiet when the Holy Spirit said to speak. There are those who will pressure you to speak on their timeline, say what they want you to say when they want you to say it. And preachers, be careful of using language like that. I've heard preachers say things like, if your pastor doesn't address this this way at this time, then go to a different church. That's not of God's Holy Spirit. That's ego. That's emotion. We need to be grounded in the Word. We need to be focused on the mission ahead. We need to be attentive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Yes. This is something I believe we need to acknowledge as the body of Christ, but do so in a Christ-centered way. The blood of the martyrs is the seeds of the church. And I pray that God would take something that was meant for evil and turn it around to something good. May a great spiritual awakening come to this nation in Jesus' name. And so I want you to guard your hearts and minds. Guard your spirit. Be attentive, be prayerful, but be bold. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power and love and a sound mind. So I want to pray for you. First, I want to pray for the Kirk family. That God would bring them comfort by his precious Holy Spirit, and then we will pray for the church and the nation at large. Pray with me now, church. Hands lifted, praying out loud in the spirit. Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift Erica to you now, her two children, Charlie's daughter, Charlie's son. And as we mourn a fellow believer who was martyred for proclaiming. Biblical truth. We pray, precious Holy Spirit, that you would comfort Erica, be her refuge and strength, give her grace and wisdom for the time ahead. And Lord, we pray your covering upon her children. Guide them, Lord. Speak to them. But protect them from the things of this world. That would seek to pull them away from you. Lord, I pray that your church would be unified in this hour, that we wouldn't respond with emotion, that we wouldn't respond with fear, Lord, that we would be moved and only moved by the Holy Spirit. I pray for that one watching now as well as these gathered She would bring comfort and peace where there is fear. Oh, we look to you. We can always look to you. Refuge and strength, the high tower. You are our hiding place. Lord, when the cares of this world become so heavy that we feel we can't bear them, Lift our hearts to heavenly places. Fill your people with fresh power from on high, love of the Spirit, clarity of mind. Move upon them now, I pray. Be the lifter of their heads. We the church declare that every plan of hell is canceled in Jesus' name. Amen. I rebuke spirits that would try to cause division in the church and in the nation. And we pray, Lord, that you would cause this birth, a spiritual awakening in this nation such as we've never known. Give your people faith for the hour ahead. We honor you, we bless you in the mighty name of Jesus. And the church boldly declared, amen. Amen. You can give the Lord a hand of praise this morning.
