Chapters
You find yourself in this place where you're stuck between 2 extremes. Your spirit wants to run to God, feel his presence, and experience his goodness. Your flesh wants to run away from God because of entitlement, resentment, anger, and frustration at the situation that you find yourself in. When you face these trials, you're filled with questions. God, why did you allow this? God, why am I going through this? Or maybe it's the opposite. Things were going so well, there was so much momentum, I was Growing, I was developing, I was finally seeing the fruition of everything I had worked for. Now all of a sudden there's this thing that's just blocking the way. Or maybe it's been a lingering problem, one issue after another, year after year, frustrated with the fact that it's taking so long to see what you would call breakthrough or freedom. This is a trial, and we as believers all face this. When you enter a season like this, It's not that the test reveals whether or not God will be faithful. Of course God is going to be faithful. And the test isn't even necessarily about whether you'll succeed or whether you'll fail. But the test rather is to bring out something in you that only the fire of trials can produce. What's more important is not what's going on around you, but the response that comes from within you.
