Those united with Christ already hear the Holy Spirit's voice because their spirit is in fellowship with Him. The question isn't whether you can hear Him, but whether you belong to Jesus. Hearing is a natural result of spiritual union, not a separate experience to chase.
It is possible to hear the Holy Spirit speaking to you and not yet recognize that it's him. Many believers ask, can I hear the Holy Spirit? How do I hear his voice? And I'm here to hopefully break some barriers down in your mind because Jesus said in John 10:27, my sheep hear my voice. The question is not, can I hear the Holy Spirit? The question is, do I belong to Jesus? If you belong to Jesus, then you already are hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. And it's not a matter of you hearing him or getting him to speak to you. How often we pray that, Lord, please speak to me. But the truth of the matter is the Holy Spirit is already speaking to you. Why? Because your spirit, who is one with the Holy Spirit, your spirit that is in union with him, already fellowships with him.
