You don't need deliverance. You need discipline. The scripture tells us that one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit that we are given is the fruit of self-control. In other words, the Holy Spirit empowers you to overcome temptation. The Holy Spirit empowers you to make the right decisions so that you're not even finding yourself in the places of temptation. Yes, sometimes we face spiritual warfare, but once you've exercised the authority of Christ, demons have to flee. Now you're left with you, demons. You. You can cast out, but you can't cast you out of you. The flesh doesn't come and go. The flesh shrinks and grows depending upon the actions that we choose. So make choices that keep the flesh small and weak. Exercise the fruit of the Spirit. Use what he gave you— self-control.
