Your Big Breakthrough

A breakthrough doesn't require your circumstances to change. It comes from an internal shift toward the Holy Spirit, moving from being ruled by what's around you to drawing strength from within. The speaker calls this going to the secret place, where burdens lighten and you find peace and power regardless of trials.

You can rule over the circumstances instead of the circumstances ruling over you. Many people think that life is just something that's happening around them, happening to them. All of the negative circumstances, all of the disappointments, all of the delays, everything is something that just controls who they are, and that's not the reality. It's true, miracles happen, healing happens, deliverance happen, breakthrough happens, financial blessings occur. All of that is true, but maybe, just maybe, the big breakthrough that you're praying for isn't going to come first through a dramatic outward change in circumstance. Maybe the breakthrough God wants to give you right now begins with a simple internal shift. To where instead of just obsessing over this material world, instead of just obsessing over what's happening around you, what's happening to you, what's happening through your loved ones, what's happening in conversation, instead of looking at just the disappointments and the delays and the trials, Instead of just focusing on those things which are part of reality, you also begin to draw strength from the innermost being, to live in the Spirit. To live in the Spirit is to face the things of the Spirit. To live in the Spirit is to be aware of the influence of the Holy Spirit. To live in the Spirit is to submit to the voice of the Holy Spirit. To live in the Spirit is to keep the material world seen through the perspective of the Holy Spirit, all things in their proper place. So that now when I face the inner, The exterior doesn't affect me. Yeah, things may be going wrong out there, but inwardly I still have peace and joy and love and power and grace and holiness and boldness and certainty. And I'm still confident in my identity. Why? Because I live from within to without, that divine life flowing from within to without, so that when troubles become too much to bear, I'm not crying out for an escape. Instead, I just go to the secret place. I go inward and fellowship with the Spirit, and the things around me begin to fade, and the burdens that seem so heavy in one instance become light as a feather in another.
