In this brief sermon excerpt, the speaker prays for believers to receive a deeper revelation of the righteousness they possess in Christ, emphasizing that this righteousness is a gift received through faith in Christ’s sacrifice. The speaker explains that the Holy Spirit plays a dual role: convicting believers of sin to correct it, and simultaneously revealing their true identity as defined by Christ’s sacrifice. This revelation is presented as the foundation for confidence in one’s salvation, as the Holy Spirit shows believers who they truly are in Christ. The excerpt concludes with an invitation to learn more about the Holy Spirit through the resource “Holy Spirit: God Within You” available at encounterthespirit.com.

I pray that the church would gain a revelation of the righteousness that we have in Christ. I pray that the church would get a revelation of what that sacrifice means for you and I today. You and I are made right with God because of our faith in Christ. And that righteousness is given to us as a gift. And the Holy Spirit convinces us of this. This is a part of his work. Yes, he will call you on your sin. Yes, he will expose that wrongdoing. And he exposes the sin to correct the sin, but he also exposes who you are You are according to Christ's sacrifice, and this begins to produce confidence in your salvation. Why? Because the Holy Spirit is showing you the real you, who you are in Christ Jesus. To learn more about the Holy Spirit, get Holy Spirit: God Within You at encounterthespirit.com.
