Every single company that exists has these 3 pillars or these 3 legs of the stool, and they are sales, administration, and production. Sales, administration, and production. Now, you might be saying, Nathan, I'm a very small company. It's only me, me by myself or with a couple other people. We don't have all these departments. Now, I want you to understand, I'm not necessarily talking about departments. I'm talking about the 3 primary functions that exist inside of your business. Business. So even if it's just you or you and a couple of people, you are still doing sales, you're still having administrative tasks and work being done, and production is still being conducted inside of your business one way or another. You might be watching this and saying, well, Nathan, I own a big company and I've got all kinds of departments. I understand that, but if you think about it, virtually every department exists— that exists inside of a company has broken off of one of these three pillars. So if you have a customer service department or an accounting or finance or billing department, or you have an HR department, those departments probably sprang off of administration. If you have a warranty division or maintenance and repair division inside your company, broke off of production. If you have inside and outside sales or rehash or a full marketing department, odds are broke off of the sales department.
