Stop targeting by income alone. Marketers need to understand how customers actually spend their time, what they value, and how they live. That's what makes a message land.

Guess, guess what? You can't market to anymore. You can't market to a socioeconomic class anymore. You can't go in there and say, well, I want to target people who make over a household income of over $150,000 a year. So now the question comes in of how do we even get in front of the right people? It comes down to how you phrase things and how you talk to them, and also understanding that type of person that's making that kind of money. What is it that they do with their spare time? You know, do they have kids during their spare time? Are they just trying to make sure that they're having that family time, you know, and being able to spend time with their wife and kids or their husband and kids? Friday nights, are they going to. Are they going to high school football games? And on Saturdays, are they cheering for their favorite team? You know, like, stuff like that? How can we connect with these people on a different level other than, hey, this is a service we offer, and we want you to pay us? We have to find a way to be able to relate to them on a little bit of a different level, so that way we can create a very impersonal relationship.
