Josh Bigger ("The Best Damn Roofer") describes transitioning from a youth music career—opening for bands like The Offspring and Blink-182—into a roofing career that evolved from summer work into a content-creation and marketing role. He began making humorous industry-focused videos, then expanded into writing music, sitcom-style videos, an educational "Roofing University," and paid commercial work with manufacturers such as Prime Line Tools Canada and Diamond Shingles, while continuing hands-on roofing.

Opened up for big bands like Offspring, Blink 182, some 41. Totally into music in my young teens and as I kind of grew out of that stage of my life and I was always maintained my roofing career as my summer job, I just decided one day to start making funny videos just to I was like there's nobody, there's no influencer, there's no entertainer in the industry and the Internet was there. So I just kind of started making funny videos for entertainment purposes for my community and it just developed into, you know, we started writing music, we started writing sitcom based videos, we started doing roofing university, we do commercials now for Prime Line Tools Canada. We do, you know, stuff for diamond shingles. We work with different manufacturers in the industry and so it's kind of grown from just a career in roofing and just kind of gone now to a influencer marketer, production guy. I'm still roofing though.
