Leadership Coaching Moment

JT reframes how you talk about availability: tell people when you're on instead of when they can't reach you. Score your tasks by effort and impact to figure out what to delegate, then focus on what only you can do.

JT here from Contractor Coach Pro. Just bringing you a quick coaching moment. This is actually something that we're going.
To be discussing this Thursday. This Thursday is day one of our Contractor Boost program. If you're thinking about joining Boost or you feel like you need coaching, listen.
You'Ve got a couple days left, there's.
A couple spots left to enroll, so go ahead and do it regardless. We're going to be talking a lot about leadership and a lot about leadership comes down to managing your time.
And I think when we say that.
A lot of folks, they think in the back of their head, well, managing my time, that means block scheduling. Sure. And that means what else? Telling people when they can't interrupt me. Okay. We always assume this negative, but I want us to uncover, to unpack that a little bit and say, no, no, no, it's not telling people when they can't talk to me. It's telling people when they can, when I am on, when I am completely open. And therefore it allows them to work their schedule around that where they can be more productive.
I think another critical component of leadership.
And in time management is prioritizing, prioritizing all the things that are on your plate. I want to call it another word, but we'll just call it the things that are on your plate.
And I think that it's really important, number one, analyze the effort that it.
Takes to get those things done and number two, the impact that they can have on your business. All right, so you can even go as far as assigning each one of them a score. How much effort is this going to cost me? Can I delegate it? If it's not that much effort, can I delegate it? Is it easier for somebody else to, to do this? And it is for me.
And then number two, what kind of.
Impact is this going to have?
All these are all my to do's.
All the things that, the projects, that stuff that's on my plate that I'm thinking about in advance, like I want to get my trucks wrapped. I want to, I need to renew my liability insurance. I need to do this and this and this. Like these are all, all go ahead and assign them an effort score and an impact score. That's going to really help you prioritize what you need to do.
Again, we're going to be talking about.
This in this Thursday's Boost class. So if you're not already enrolled in that, would love to see you there. Peace. Everybody.
