Short conversational excerpt from a YouTube video ("Let's talk impact!") featuring Jim Johnson and another speaker. They discuss maximizing impact on the world, the value of narrowing focus to increase effectiveness, influencing the world indirectly through empowering employees, and that they are considering creating a foundation ("we don't have a foundation yet. But we're getting closer").

I would say trying to have the maximum impact on the world. While an obviously awesome thing, the more focused you can get about how you do that impact, the more likely it is to actually happen. So this is actually something we've struggled with, which is why we don't have a foundation yet. But we're getting closer and closer and closer. And if I hear you right, what you really want to do is you want to impact the world through the people that work for you. You want to give them this opportunity to follow their passions, which will then impact the world beyond you. Yes.
Yeah. 100%. And, like, it doesn't have to. Just someone might be passionate about something else. It's like, I want everyone to help change the world in their own way almost. I don't want it to be. I just don't want it to be limited to, hey, Pro alliance really cares about helping people, you know, not starve. And someone else may be more passionate about a certain sickness that's in their family, you know, so it's like, I want to help in a lot of areas, so it's so hard for me to focus. You already know that.
That's. That's okay. That's what this is all about, is to get that focus. Because the more that you can refine that into a focal point instead of a foggy window, the more likely you are to actually achieve it.
