Solar Roofing is Essential

I spent some time in Africa. When the wealthy and big business need electricity, the poor and the middle class don't have it. They shut off the substations to their developments. And I don't want to see our country doing that. But frankly, unless we provide pathways for the most affordable and quickest to build energy. But we're kind of headed down that path. This is why I'm so passionate about residential, particularly solar shingles. So there's 5 million homes in the US that need new roofs every year. At least half of those homeowners have thought about seriously putting solar on their house. And about a million of those sites are really good locations for it. But no company really makes a solar shingle that a roofer can actually install. Tesla's expensive GAF is expensive. They're undergoing a learning process. There are products out there, but they need to be installed by electricians. If we could do a million homes a year, that's 10 gigawatts, like 10 nuclear plants worth of electricity. What we can do is very possible. We just need to be allowed to do it.
