Hi, I'm Jim Johnson, the head coach here at Contractor Coach Pro. And six years ago, I retired from contracting and the contracting industry. I had built a $25 million contracting business. I had helped develop some software for our industry, help get that software off the ground, helped thousands of contractors get on board with that software, and felt like I had kind of accomplished what I needed to accompl. And I retired. I stepped away and resigned. And so I got a lot of phone calls after that about coming and being a part of people's companies, whether that be as a co owner, a general manager. They just wanted some help running their business and having a guide, somebody that can help them along. That's been down the path before. And I said, you know, at this point in time, I'm not prepared to do that. I took some time off, away from the business. I actually spent three months with my grandfather as he stepped away from this world, and it passed. And so during that time, he asked me what I wanted to be and what I wanted to do. And I told him I wanted to be a coach. And he asked me, well, what do you want to coach? I said, hey, I want to coach college basketball. That was the thing I wanted to do. And he kind of looked at me and laughed. He said, hey, you realize you're kind of past your prime for getting that position. By the time you're a coach, I don't think that you're going to have a very long career doing that. What else are you good at? And I said, well, I'm really good at this contracting business. And he said, well, why don't you coach that? And that was kind of eye opening, like, hey, you know, there's a way that I can possibly do this. I developed a lot of skills over 20 plus years in the industry. I've seen a lot of things being in the back offices of contractors operations and seeing all the different strategies and tactics that get used. And so I decided to start Contractor Coach Pro and start helping contractors develop their strategy to grow and scale their business, much like I was able to accomplish. In the last six years, we've coached almost 300 contractors to over $2.5 billion in revenue. So our goal is to coach contractors to win. That's our purpose. It's why we exist.
