Hi, I'm Jim Johnson, the head coach here at Contractor Coach Pro. And first off, I want to thank you for taking the time out of your day to spend just a few minutes with us learning a little bit about the contractor strategy workshop. Time is a valuable thing, and I don't want to take much of it, but I have some important things to share with you today about our strategy workshop that's coming up on December 12th and 13th here in Houston, Texas, to help contractors realize their full potential in 2018. So why do we do this in the first place? I can remember back to being a contractor, and I was very kind of shoot from the hip at first. Like, everything was like, hey, let's have a war room, draw a bunch of pictures on the wall, and we're gonna have these great ideas. We're gonna try this referral program, we're gonna try this selling system, we're gonna do this production thing over here. And we had all these great plans. We all walked away from it going, man, this is gonna be an awesome year. And we found out that, that we didn't really execute on those things very well because we didn't really have a guide. There was no playbook for actually doing those things and no real system to make sure that we implemented those cool ideas that we came up with. So what we did is we had a strategy session for actually how to build a strategy. We sat down with people that do this on a regular basis, coaches and mentors learned from them, and developed our own strategy to grow our business. We call this the strategy workshop. Through this strategy workshop, what contractors will do is they're going to focus on the four core principles of being a contractor that drive your business on a daily basis. Those would be a sales strategy, a marketing strategy, a production strategy, and a velocity strategy. So during our sales strategy, we're going to focus on the different type of systems that you can have. Selling value versus price. How do you sell upgrades when most people aren't getting upgrades? What's the psychology behind that? And how do I get that implemented into my team and give belief in my team that they see our overall sales vision and want to be a part of it? And then there's a marketing strategy. How are we going to market to drive and generate the most amount of high quality leads at the right price and understand the return on investment, my cost for obtaining a job? Much of you out there don't understand those numbers or have seen those numbers or realize how that number truly affects your bottom line. So we're Going to give you the tools to actually do some of those measurements. What's your production strategy? How are you going to go out there and do something different than every other contractor out there in your production process to not only wow the customer, but to create a customer that is an advocate, a zealot for you, that wants nothing more to tell people how, how awesome you are about the way that you do business. And then finally, the one that you probably don't focus enough on as a contractor is velocity. This velocity strategy. How do I get from A to Z as quickly as possible? Because that's all economics. The faster you can get money to exchange hands between the person that is buying from you into your bank account while still keeping quality and experience at the highest level proves out your profitability. If I can do that quicker than the next guy, it takes me less time, less resources, less energy to realize that money, which means I am more profitable. So what are some of the ways that we can set up our processes and our systems, use our administrative staff, outsource things to drive that velocity to get it down from an unacceptable number to a real number. Do you know what your velocity is? That's a big question right off the bat. How long from the time you first talk to a customer until you collect that final check? Is it 30 days? Is it 90 days? I can remember ours when we finally put a measurement to it as 108 days from the first time we talked to a customer until we collected the final check. On average 108 days. Because we realized this time frame, we could then work to measure that time frame and start to reduce it down. And within a year we got it down from 108 days to 33 days. And if I can get the same amount of money in 33 days that I get in 108 days, I'm making more money, I'm spending less time, I'm able to devote more resources to the selling side of things. So we're going to go over this concept of velocity and you're going to walk away with a strategy for that. We're going to take all four of those strategies and we're going to combine them into what we call the contractor strategy playbook. You're going to walk away with an actual playbook. Hopefully by the end of the year it's all coffee stained and dog eared and got dirt all over it because you're using it every day. You're looking at it, you're seeing if you're staying on track, you're Focusing on those actions that need to happen to make your priorities be realized and your goals achieved. We're going to follow this process of goals, priorities and actions, or your GPAs. So we invite you. Come join us for two days on December 12th and 13th. Turn off all your phones. Keep all your distraction away. Bring up to three people from your company. Key people. We suggest an owner, probably a sales manager, a production manager, or maybe an office manager type person. Bring those people that not only help you execute your business, but they're the people that hold you accountable to getting things done. I know as a contractor, most of us are a little add and we're kind of wild and crazy and we have a vision like we know in our head where we want to go, and if we could just get everybody else on that path, that thing will happen. And so that's going to be a part of this strategy workshop is taking the vision that's in your head, getting it down on paper so it's actually implementable, and you can get those tasks delegated out to people so they can be successful, helping you and your company realize your vision. So come join us if you want to find out more. There's a button down there. Click on us about the agenda, a little bit more information about those four areas that we're going to be covering. There's another button down there. If I've convinced you that this is a thing for you and you finally have decided, hey, I want to go build a strategy, I'm committed to this. It's something I know I've needed to do for years and I just haven't done. Then come join us. Click the button that says buy tickets. We're in Houston, Texas. We're going to be doing it at the Water Point Event Center. It's a beautiful event center out over the lake out here on the north side of Houston and hang out for two days, what's going to be really valuable about this, we're going to break down into these roundtable sessions where you're going to get to work with other contractors and kind of get some insight from them of what they're doing successfully, share some ideas with them. I learned a long time ago many heads are better than one. And so we're going to do a little bit of brain share while we're here so you can get better at what you do in your own company, in a different market, or maybe even the same market. Think about it. There's only going to be 25 of you here. That's all we Take, we keep it to a small group for a purpose. One is we want to be able to work hand in hand with you, but we don't want to share this information with everybody in the market because we want to give you an advantage. But I wouldn't mind competing against somebody that's on a level playing field with me other than competing against people that are constantly driving the market down. So we'll be focusing on that value side of things and raising the level of contractor in each one of our markets. So we look forward to having you come join us at the Contractors Strategy Workshop. Work your butt off for two days. Be prepared to really put some effort into this and walk away with that contractor strategy playbook for you to follow as a guide for your entire year. And on top of that, you walk away with a tool, a thing that you have learned that you can take with you for the rest of your entrepreneurial life. It's a system. It's a way of doing things to build a strategy. Nobody just comes up with some wild strategy and says, let's do it. They actually evaluate, build and complete a written strategy so they can follow it. And that's what we're going to do at the Contractor Strategy Workshop. We look forward to seeing you there. Come check us out. Click one of the buttons below that works best for you. If you don't believe any of what I've been saying, click the button that says testimonials. Listen to what some of the other contractors that have been to our event have thought of that event whenever they've attended. It really pays off. There's a lot of bang for your buck. The return on investment is tremendous. We cannot wait to see you there. We look forward to seeing you at the Contractor Strategy Workshop.
