Jim Johnson (Head Coach, Roofcoach Pro) presents a two-minute YouTube segment focused on "serving" as one of three keys to success (loving, serving, caring). He defines serving as actively looking for opportunities to help: with co-workers (offer help with tasks, share experience), with customers (better cleanup, assisting with insurance paperwork, choosing products that fit the customer's needs and budget), and with industry relationships (vendors, referral sources like insurance agents, real estate brokers—look for ways to help them succeed beyond just sending business). The clip closes by previewing the next topic, "caring."

Foreign, everybody. It's Jim Johnson here, the head coach at Roofcoach Pro, with this week's two minute drill. And this week we're going to talk a little bit about serving. Last week we talked about loving who we are, our customers and those that we work with. This week we're going to talk a little bit about serving. We're talking about serving our co workers. And how we do that is by helping them at every opportunity, look for opportunities. That's what serving is all about, is looking for opportunities where you can help that other person. And in this particular case, we're talking about co workers. We want to make sure that we give them every opportunity to share our experience with them, for them to share their experience with you, and then also to help them at any opportunity that you can see. So if somebody needs a little help with paperwork, don't hesitate to step up and give them a hand. Next, we want to talk a little bit about working with your customers and serving your customers. Look for opportunities where you can serve that particular customer. Make sure maybe you can do a little better job of cleanup. Maybe that customer needs a hand with something and you can offer that hand. Maybe that customer needs your help. When working with insurance paperwork or picking out the right product. Whenever you serve your customer, you make sure that you get the right thing for them, not necessarily the right thing for you. So you want to focus on making sure that we find the right product for them, it fits within their budget and that they're happy with it whenever we're done. And finally, we want to service our relationships. We've got great relationships throughout this industry, whether it's with a vendor or it could be with somebody that sends you referrals, whether that be an insurance agent, a real estate broker, a general contractor, a property management company. A lot of these people send us customers and we want to look for opportunities to serve them. Obviously, providing them with business is one of the ways to do that. But how can you offer them a helping hand so that they can be successful? So that's a little bit about serving. This week, want to make sure that you focus on that. Remember, next week we're going to talk a little bit about caring. And those are the three keys to success. Loving, serving and caring. If you can do those three, you're going to be nothing but successful.
