A YouTube interview-style video (The Future of Sustainable Energy) discussing widespread electrification across sectors—transportation and heating—and practical considerations for adopting electric vehicles. The speaker describes their personal adoption timeline (decided in 2019) and highlights home charging and EV chargers as key considerations.
Everything's being electrified. Cars are being electrified, heating is being electrified through electric heat pumps and geothermal, you know, so I see everything moving that way. So, yeah, I mean, to me, the writing was on the wall, so it was just a matter of when. What kind of early adopter are you? I didn't get Tesla's, you know, Tesla back in 2016, but I waited till 2019 when I felt the technology was built out enough. I was comfortable enough, I had the budget for it, so that's when I made the leap. And once you go to an electric vehicle, there's a lot of considerations you have to have, like, how am I going to charge this vehicle at home? You got to get an electric vehicle charger.
