Short YouTube conversation (creators: Jim Johnson and others) advocating morning/fasted cardio. Speakers claim doing cardio first thing or fasted leads to burning stored body fat rather than recent food, and that morning exercise reduces overnight cortisol (a stress hormone).

Do cardio either first thing in the morning or immediately after your workout. And the best way to put it in layman's terms is if I just ate right before I got on here and spoke with you. So if I were to go do cardio right now, really, the first 30, 45 minutes, all I'm doing is burning the food off my stomach. That's in my stomach, versus burning stored body fat that I'm actually trying to get rid of. So you do it fasted. So the whole time, start to finish, you're burning body fat.
Okay. That's another good reason. My reason was when you sleep overnight, you build up a lot of cortisol. And cortisol is the fear hormone and a stress hormone. And if you go work out, first thing, you get rid of it.
