Hi, welcome to PR FAQ. My name is Jim James. We're recording this live from our studio, EastWest PR, in Beijing. This week's question: When in your business life cycle should you hire a PR agency? Well, of course, the obvious answer to that, because I run an agency, is when you can afford it. In truth, of course, the answer is Anytime when you're about to launch a new product or even launch a new company, PR helps to get the message out to the media. And the media in turn will help you to communicate with all those people that you're going to need to hire and to sell to and to supply you with what you're going to need to get your business going. If you're up and running and you've got a mature company, a PR agency is going to help you to go through the early growth stages into the stage where your company is really flying. And as a mature company, we've got lots of stakeholders and you need to communicate the vision of the company to all of those people in the marketplace. PR is a great vehicle for doing that. So the answer to this week's PR question is, when should you hire a PR firm? Anytime.
