Hi, my name is Jim James and welcome to the PR FAQ, live from our studios here at EastWest PR in Beijing. Today's FAQ is for people looking for a job and the question is, when is the right time to start looking for a job in PR? Well, the first answer is you need to be Early. Okay, you need to be about 6 months before you want the job to start. It takes time for people to need you. It takes time for people to meet you and to interview you. So start 6 months before you want the job. Another good time to start looking is November. Most agencies have staff go away over Christmas. They need help over those months. Sometimes it's menial work. But it gets you in the door in December before the June, July time when you might really need that job. Finally, when do you apply? Before everybody else. Lots of people want jobs. You need to be there first. Get noticed early. Get your CV in early. Get your job in there before everybody else. And then don't go home early. So, if you want the job, It's yours for the taking, but you've got to be early. Thank you for that question. And if you've got any questions for the PR FAQ, you can tweet them on @EastWestPR or go to our website eastwestpr.com and drop us an email. Thank you.
