Honestly, most of them are not my ideas at all. They're from people who approach me with a business or an idea and I check them out. I'm looking not so much for great ideas but for great people. There's nothing special about mowing lawns or cleaning or laundry or washing dogs. It's about finding people who can do the job well and then train and inspire others to do the same, pushing them for better service and greater success. It's about regular meetings and regular one on one coaching, always being there to give advice and support, even evenings and weekends. The same goes for me. Also. Five and a half thousand franchisees have my direct personal phone number and email address and they're invited to content me at any time, including evenings and weekends. And they do. A good business isn't about genius or even about great ideas. It's about paying attention and caring enough to solve everyday problems better than anyone else.
